Attacked by the Thought Gremlins

So the thought gremlins are running around, mucking up your brain. They have you running in depressing, downward spiraling circles.

“I can’t believe I have that big meeting tomorrow. I’m not ready”

“How am I going to pay the bills? Where am I going to get the money?”

“I hate my boss. I wonder if she knows that? Am I going to get fired?”

You know the routine. You play out your worst fears and then you start at the beginning and do it again.

You try to think of more pleasant things.

“I’m laying on the beach and the soft breeze feels great on my skin. Am I going to get fired?”

“I’m sitting on the side of a bubbling brook with my bare feet in the cool water. Where am I going to get the money?”

Accessing the Law of Attraction

You totally understand that the thoughts swirling around in your head create your future. But you’re stuck. You try to visualize yourself in a better place, but those thought gremlins have you in their control.

Why is it so difficult to control your thoughts? Especially at night?

The Dance Solution

I know this sounds crazy, but trust me, it works. Get out of bed. You need to change your surroundings to change your thoughts. Now go out into the livingroom, turn some music on, and boogie. That’s right, boogie. It’s even better if you smile and boogie. Dance your heart at. It’s hard to dance and feel bad at the same time.

I’ve even been successful dancing in the dark, in silence. (didn’t want to wake the sleepers) I boogie away, in the quiet darkness, and I can feel the gremlins moving out.

You only need to dance for 5 minutes, but feel free to really get your groove on.

Then head back to bed. I promise you the gremlins will be gone
