Common Questions on Art and Manifesting

I get a lot of questions from readers interested in using their authentic, inner images to manifest. Can art manifest?

1. Do I need to be an artist?

Nope

2. Do I need to be creative?

Nope

3. Do I need to know how to draw?

Nope

4. Do I need special art materials?

Nope

5. Is it hard to learn how to do?

Nope

6. Does it take a lot of time?

Nope

7. How do you know this works?

Split-brain research studies how the left and right sides of the brain function differently. This research shows that we think and process everything we experience as images first and words second. The right side of the brain, and our senses, take everything in along with the emotions and feelings that go with our experiences.  All that input is processed as images first, and then the left side of the brain translates those images into verbal thoughts.

So the body’s first language is image, the second language is words or thoughts. So the fastest, most effective way of communicating with ourselves is through images. And the act of creating intention or manifesting requires us to ‘reprogram’ ourselves to be in alignment with what we want. Since we process images more effectively than words, images are more effective at realigning us with what we desire.

Joe Vitale, Mr. Fire, wrote a post on mind tattoos. He said “If you want to change anything, you need to do it with emotion and imagery, just the way movies and television imprint your mind.”

So grab a piece of paper and some crayons or even a pencil and think about something you would like to create in your life. It helps to close your eyes and take a couple deep breaths. Now imagine the feeling you would have, if what you wanted already appeared in your life. Now open your eyes and go!

When you’re finished, give thanks for whatever you just created because you are already living it.

And that’s as hard as it is. Give it a try and watch how fast your life changes. Leave me a comment and let me know what you’ve created!

I’m not an artist. I can’t even draw that nice. But every once in a while, I do draw. A simple drawing and coloring make me so relax. I feel simple and see things simple as well. It’s a nice outlet for me. Nice portrait above, by the way. It has a nice use of colors. I like it.
