Limiting Beliefs

Limiting Beliefs

Limiting beliefs are the biggest obstacle to manifesting your heart’s desire. We understand the Law of Attraction and that our thoughts create our reality. But there are several aspects to using the LOA.

We’ll assume you’ve followed the steps below:

1.      Know what you want

2.      Stop focusing on what you don’t want

3.      Visualizing what you want with emotion

4.      Acting as if – You connect with what you want by ‘feeling’ how you will feel when you achieve it.

5.      Gratitude for what you already have

So now you got that all going on, but stuff isn’t showing up.

There must be something blocking it. Something beyond your awareness. Joe Vitale published a CD series entitled The Missing Secret.  And this refers to the limiting beliefs we all have.

Ways to release our limiting beliefs

According to Joe Vitale, these limiting beliefs are what prevent us from creating what we want.  Law of Attraction practitioners had devised many ways to release our limiting beliefs.

Identify them and observe how they don’t serve us

  • Meditation
  • Affirmations
  • Prayer
  • EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique
  • H’opoponono
  • Energy work by healer

I will be discussing all these options in future posts. But I’d like to introduce you to a process that will speed up the whole manifesting process. And you can use it to manifest your heart’s desire, discover limiting beliefs, and overcome limiting beliefs.

And you don’t need any special skills to use it.

Creating your own art using your authentic, internal images.

We all have a beautiful way of communicating with ourselves through image. It’s really how our brain functions. All input gets processed as image first, thought or language second. So by tapping into those images we can communicate more efficiently. We can discover our limiting beliefs and what’s holding us back. A we can create images to overcome those limiting beliefs.

Images you hold in your soul that hold the key to creating the life of your dreams. And you don’t even know they are there.

Art Exercise

So take out some crayons or colored pencils and do this simple exercise.

Close your eyes and take a couple deep breaths. Start thinking of what’s holding you back, but try to think about your feelings and not so much about words. See if any images pop you’re your head. (and don’t worry if you don’t ‘get’ any images, trust they will come) When you’re ready, open your eyes and pick the first color that jumps out at you. And begin. If you have any image, go ahead and recreate it. If you don’t, they trust that your hand knows what to do.

When you finish, take a few moments to really take in your drawing. Flip the paper over and finish this sentence as if you were the art talking ‘I am….

I bet you’re amazed at the result. Leave me a comment about your experience.
