Attraction Marketing. A friend asked me the other day what I was doing to promote my blog. I said I was doing the usual…
- some keyword targeting
- tweeting my posts and interacting on twitter
- facebooking my posts and interacting on facebook
- article marketing
- making videos
- blog commenting
- guest posting
- syndicating
- attraction marketing
Attraction marketing? What’s that?
I said, “Are you kidding me? You aren’t using attraction marketing?” Let me tell you a story.
You know Dr. Joe Vitale, right? Did you know he was a famous marketing guy before he was a law of attraction guy? He’s got tons of stuff on marketing and was one of the first marketers to tap into the internet marketing thing.
Then half way through his very lucrative marketing career, he stumbled onto the law of attraction. Well, bigger than ’stumbled’. And he found out that just ‘intending’ for your marketing to be successful, increases your success rate.
Did you know his book The Attractor Factor was originally named Spiritual Marketing?
So being this famous marketing guy, he had lots of clients hiring him to market for different products. This one guy wanted to open a sandwich shop. Or maybe it was a soup shop.
Anyway, he hires Joe to set up his marketing. And he was all excited because he had Joe Vitale doing his marketing for him. So Joe helped develop some radio ads and postcard advertising.
All this advertising was going to happen the 2 weeks prior to his store opening. So the day after the opening, Joe got a call that there was a problem with the mail house and none of the post cards got mailed. He was devastated and called his client right away.
The guy was ecstatic! He said he had people lined up around the block and he thanked Joe profusely for setting up such a successful campaign. And the funny thing was, he had gotten a call from the radio station apologizing for the fact his radio spots hadn’t run.
Joe was stunned and shared with him that the post cards never got sent either. Both of them were a bit shocked when they realized that none of the marketing they had planned worked.
But attraction marketing did. The guy had the ‘intent’ that all the promotion was going to be successful, so that was enough to bring customers to the door.
Now I’m not suggesting you bag all your efforts and focus on attraction marketing. But certainly adding attraction marketing to your current plan will do wonders for whatever you are marketing.
I am using attraction marketing and intend for people to find lots of value in my blog and for it to grow and prosper.

LOL … Awesome! Story!!! Thanks for sharing … yes The Law of Attraction is a powerful fundamental however I never looked at Attraction Marketing as being “that much” related to The Law of Attraction. I’ve always seen Attraction Marketing as the ability to attract prospects to you through LEADERSHIP and PROVIDING VALUE! I KNOW God’s Law of Attraction plays a ‘role’ in Marketing (just like everything else in this universe), but I wouldn’t call it the center concept of Attraction Marketing.

Thanks for stopping by, Curt. I like to mentally combine both concepts when I’m trying to grow my business. Joe Vitale’s book, The Attractor Factor was originally called Spiritual Marketing. Just another way to look at it.
I just purchased one of Joe’s programs and get his twitters. He’s pretty awesome. I was surprised by how gentle his voice sounds the first time I heard it; he looks so gruff. Thanks for bringing him up on your blog.

Hi Gwen, I love Joe Vitale. His stuff is so great. Which program did you get? I’ve got a bunch. Thanks for stopping by!
Actually, you can still download “Spiritual Marketing” online as a free eBook, that was the book that first turned me on to the Sedona Method, and eventually EFT. Without that book, I would never have started practicing emotional releasing. Thanks for the article! Be well!
