Today I was listening to the new audio program by Joe Vitale called Abundance Paradigm. And in it, he was sharing new ways to erase our limiting beliefs. As I was driving along, I had a huge, Ah-Ha moment.
You can’t make a mistake. If you are focused on your dream and you see it as your reality. Then you cannot make a mistake. The Universe self-corrects. Say you were wondering which step to take. It doesn’t really matter which one you choose.
Now, you should definitely listen to your intuition and choose the one that ‘feels’ better. But in the long run, it doesn’t really matter. If it isn’t the ‘right’ choice, the Universe will close a door and open a window.
So many people (me included) get ‘analysis paralysis’. We have many ‘good’ choices in front of us, but we’re concerned about making the right choice. The Universe likes action. Choose anything. Take a step. The Universe is doing most of the work to bring your dream to fulfillment. Take a step. The Universe is on auto-pilot.
You can’t make a mistake as long as you hold fast to your dream. The Universe is conspiring to help you. Take a step. You are headed in the right direction. Take a step. Have courage. Take a step.

nice article. i agree. whatever you decide, wrong or right, it s just one step that make you near from your dream
Debbie,
I love your post, especially the concept that the universe conspires to self-correct our “mistakes” and that maybe a door closes but a window opens.
Yes, there are sometimes lost opportunities, but then having taken that step would have led us in a totally different direction – and we don’t know what the outcome might have been, even if it appears that it would have been better. So much better to not dwell on mistakes and focus instead on being grateful for what we do have now – and building on our resources.
Warmly,
Erica

Dr. Erica,
Being grateful for what we do have is so key. You are right! I love to ask myself, “what if this were great” when some event happens that doesn’t seem to be in alignment with where I am going. I think that opens me to the possibility that there could be a ‘window’ somewhere if I’m willing to look. I really appreciate your insightful comments. Thanks!

Debbie

Hi Debbie –
Wow, I can’t wait for the next as this was powerful! How freeing is it to know that we can’t make a mistake?! I think my intuition makes it obvious which decisions are WRONG but it’s harder to distinguish between good and great choices. Thanks for the reminder to keep my focus on my dreams. Have a POWERFUL week! Allegra

Thanks Allegra,
I think lots of us are eagerly waiting to discover the fantastic things in store for us in 2011. That’s right, just keep your eyes on the prize and take a step!

Debbie,
Love this! It takes the worry out of reaching our goals. Trust the universe to steer you and if we make a “wrong” turn it will self correct itself provided we don’t lose sight of our goal!! Thank you for sharing.

Hi Debby
Your site is looking great, this post was just what I needed as I struggle with a decision and the statement that the universe self-corrects has helped me. I am wasting so much energy on trying to make the “right decision’ when any decision will do. Thanks

I know, Belinda. I get so stuck with the ‘right decision’ too. My phrase for 2011 is ‘take a step’ so I can remind myself of the Universe’s power.

I always believe that everything that happens to you has a purpose, whether it’s good or bad, or should I say, comfortable or not. There’s always something to learn, and if you get stuck, then you haven’t learned what you’re suppose to learn yet. I like what you said about having no mistakes. If you chose something that ended up not “perfectly fit”, it’s the universe’s way of telling you, learn from it first and then you move on — this time, to another choice that “fits you more”. And yes, learning to interpret and understand what our intuition is telling us will guide us more into choosing the choices that’s more appropriate for us.

Hi Cherrie,
It’s so nice to ‘see’ you. I also agree the the ‘bad’ things that happen are how we label it. I like to ask myself, ‘what’s great about this?’ So many lessons can be learned from our so-called mistakes.

Hello Debbie. Great post, I love Joe he is great with all his wonderful lessons. I have gone through that program as well. I think I should go back and listen to it again. Some time I forget when I get discouraged and head down the wrong path. I love his teaching on ho oponopono. Truly wonderful.
You are right as we are heading down our path the right doors will open we must be awake and paying attention to when opportunity presents its self.
Love always

Hi Julie,
I love the Ho’oponopono technique as well. I’m always listening to great teachers over and over again. And you are so right. We definitely need to pay attention to all the inspiration around us.

Inspiring article! Just searching and found your blog. I’m amaze that this words truly hit me. If you have this so called positive thinking, you have a lot of opportunity, and of course no mistake. Choose what you want to be and its all yours. Thanks for your words Debbie!
Thanks, I hope you’ll stop back again!

Hi Debbie,
Thanks for this post. Making mistakes in life make us who we are. We must push ourselves to step outside our comfort zone which may result in making the odd mistake now and again. But this is what life is all about, making those leaps of faith to create an amazing experience. We have the creative power within us to grow and learn from being who we really are, together as one on this planet.
Thanks again,

Hi Debbie,
You have a very nice and inspiring post. For me, we shouldn’t limit ourselves to the things that we used to do. If we have dreams, we must take actions to achieve it. Taking one step at a time and always keep the positive attitude, we can surely make our dreams into reality. Thanks a lot for sharing!

That’s a great thought, Debbie. I can’t make a mistake… this step may take me down a longer, more twisting path than that one, but I will still get to my destination if I have it clearly in my vision.

Love it!
I just decided to spent some time in pure creative mode, even though that means leaving the last semester of school before my degree for later. SO many people told me i was wrong because i need to go to school to get opportunities- meanwhile my heart said, “THIS is what I need to do right now.”
SO now so many exciting things are happening!
Thanks!!
Katana,
When we follow our bliss, it can be scary for those that love us. And what’s beautiful is that we can change our minds at any time. When my family used to give me a hard time about the decisions I made I would tell them, “I’m not saying never (to school), I’m just saying not right now.” That would make them feel better.

Debbie

Yeah, being human we can’t simply deny the fact that unconsciously we can commit a mistake. On the other hand committing it doesn’t mean that we are useless but it will serve as our motivation and lesson in life for us to stand up and to correct everything. Consequences are just a part of our success and all we need to do is to be tough and courageous enough so that we will be focus in our goals in life.

Awesome article Debbie. Somehow I get inspired from this. In my life I always think of something that I am the most unlucky person in the world. But I realized that this thing only happens if we don’t believe in our strength and abilities. In everything we did wrong we need always to think of it’s positive side to make it right. thanks for sharing this.Continue posting…
Hi Lyndon,
I’m so glad you got inspired. And you do have strength and abilities. We all do. We just have to believe it.
One Love,
Debbie
I too agree and inspired by your post.
I love this Debbie – there are NO bad choices!! Plus, when you really think it through, the choices we make following the original decision are all part of it as well, as they will lead to further reactions and choices!! It can be a beautiful cycle of love and prosperity, if you let it!!
Thanks for this great post!! I always love coming back here!

Awesome post. It is amazing how the universe works. Having a vision and taking action are essential. The universe does its thing.

I agree with you. I think a person must push himself forward to get rid of his mistakes as mistakes only and only kills a person and doesn’t benefit him in any way. Thanks for posting.

It took me a lot of years to realize that mistakes are only stepping stones to the goal we’ve put before us! I’m taking steps every single day and the bumps in the road I once saw as mistakes are now seen as only lessons for me to know what not to do next time!
Thanks for the great post.

Love this. I have always felt that the “enemy” is not taking the next step, but the fear of taking the wrong step forward often stymies me. Looking at it the way you describe is totally freeing!

Hi Gwen,
Love your blog. I wrestle with the ‘fear of taking the wrong step’ all the time. I have to continually remind myself what I know to be true. That there are no ‘wrong steps.’ The only ‘wrong ones’ are the ones not taken. Seems like a daily reminder. I think I’ll put it on a post-it note.

Hi Debbie,
great picture and article!
When I came across the saying you mentioned “analysis causes paralysis” it really hit home and I realized how much I was analysing.
When I was younger I was more spontaneous and less afraid to ‘make mistakes’ it was more about feeling good. Somehow having had children has changed that and I became more cautious.
Now I wonder if I am too cautious?
Thanks for the article.

Hi Yorinda,
Children definitely change everything. I definitely get stuck in analysis paralysis. I am constantly reminding myself that there are no mistakes and the Universe loves action. Any action. Once you start moving, inspiration will flow in your direction! It’s amazing.
