No Mistakes

No Mistakes

by debbie on December 20, 2010

Today I was listening to the new audio program by Joe Vitale called Abundance Paradigm. And in it, he was sharing new ways to erase our limiting beliefs. As I was driving along, I had a huge, Ah-Ha moment.

You can’t make a mistake. If you are focused on your dream and you see it as your reality. Then you cannot make a mistake. The Universe self-corrects. Say you were wondering which step to take. It doesn’t really matter which one you choose.

Now, you should definitely listen to your intuition and choose the one that ‘feels’ better. But in the long run, it doesn’t really matter. If it isn’t the ‘right’ choice, the Universe will close a door and open a window.

So many people (me included) get ‘analysis paralysis’. We have many ‘good’ choices in front of us, but we’re concerned about making the right choice. The Universe likes action. Choose anything. Take a step. The Universe is doing most of the work to bring your dream to fulfillment. Take a step. The Universe is on auto-pilot.

You can’t make a mistake as long as you hold fast to your dream. The Universe is conspiring to help you. Take a step. You are headed in the right direction. Take a step. Have courage. Take a step.

Good for you Perry. It was such a huge Ah-ha for me too! That any step toward your goal is a step in the right direction. Even if it doesn’t work out. It leads you to the next step. Business success is not a straight line. It’s a series of steps and maneuvers that take you from point A to point B.

Hi Debbie,
Taking action is my mentality nowadays. Take the step! Move forward and just do something- I always tell myself. It’s better to do something and learn from it than to sit and think and think and go nowhere.
After we have thought things through there’s a moment where we have to just do it. And if our action is not getting the results that we want – we need to reach out and ask others to help us- brainstorm to improve the kind of action and just start doing things. Fear is truly a stopper and just say kick it in the face or else we will sit and our lives will have gone by and all we did was think. Great topic. I know that God has taught me many lessons from doing things the wrong way. He always hows us the way if we have faith.
Blessings ♥,
Eren

You are so right. Just take a step. I have taken many steps that have not immediately led to my “success.” But in looking back, these steps were actually stepping stones. Each step, successful or unfruitful, taught me something that I suddenly understand a year or two later. It feels like adding many small pieces to a huge puzzle. Taking the steps is what counts.
On January 2, I created my very first blogtalkradio show, Happy New Year-Healing Through Love. I talked about setting your intentions for 2011, using “right” mindset, and visualizing the end of the year and looking back on all you will have accomplished. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/drerica

Not being paralyzed with too many options or too few options or by fear or doubt or perfectionism or anything else and just taking that step is a terrific message to start off the year. And it is true that sometimes we’ll make mistakes. But who cares, nobody is really perfect. And although doors may close, that is part of the growing up process, but we do get those windows in return. And hey, then we can go shopping for curtains! – Rob

Hello Debbie

I struggle with trying to make the right decisions all the time. Its not something that is easy to get over even if it is instilled into you by other people; saying and telling you that it is o.k to make mistakes. Its something very hard to believe, but what you just said, here does seem to make sense. Sometimes life does tend to work out for the better even though you do screw up a few times. But if you continue to work on your screw ups I guess the message is saying that you will eventually get over that hurdle once and for all. I might have to read this over a few times. I really liked this article. Cause I too write about self help stuff. But even though I write about it sometimes, it’s a hard lesson to follow even when your teaching it. But I continue to fight for what I want in life till I get what I want. You inspired me to write yet another self help article, which I may include some tid bits from this. Thats if you don’t mind of course. Well thanks for sharing I really enjoyed this very much. And The picture of the ducks put a nice cute kinda touch to your story.

I could not agree more. Taking action is by definition the right approach. Even if it is not the most optimal action you choose. While you are taking your action you will learn if there is a better way to do what you are doing and you can correct. Had you done nothing, you would not have found this better way.

Very true Debbie! We have only one life to live why we’re hindering ourselves from the choices that we face everyday. If we commit mistake from the choices that we make we just learn from it, after all, there is no harm in trying. There is value from failure because without this there is no sweetness in success. Thanks Debbie for the encouragement.

Excellent post! If you stay focussed and keep moving towards your dream, any mistakes you do make are simply learnining experiences.

Thanks for sharing your Ah-ha moment! Most of us have been brought up in a world where there are absolutes of right and wrong. Public school tests ring a bell for anyone? When you’ve spent a life time being penalized for getting it wrong, you learn to hesitate, think about it – perhaps too long. I love your advice to just take action! Wonderful!

Hi Teresa,

You are so right. School tests told us there was only one right answer! But we all know there are many paths to happiness and success. I think you just helped me unlock another cause of my ‘analysis paralysis’! School Tests! Thanks so much. I’m going to add that to my ‘Self Discovery’ journal!

One Love,
Debbie

Wonderful way to see it. I always look at my life choices as “everything happens for a reason.” Love your blog!

Hi Christy,

I like to phrase it, ‘There is synchronicity in everything!’ Or ‘every cloud has a silver lining.’ I definitely search for the ‘meaning’ in various situations. I believe there are inspirational messages coming at us all the time! Thanks for visiting!

One Love,
Debbie

Hi Debbie. Loved your blog post. Taking action – with some careful thought upfront – always is better than sitting on your hands waiting for the perfect circumstances or information to present themselves. The inability to make a decision is a common challenge and one that needs to be overcome in order maximize success. Thanks. Scott Pollov

Hi Scott,

I think a lot of people are armchair ‘positive people’. They have a great attitude, but they sit on the couch waiting for great things to fall in their lap. And even taking one small step makes a huge difference. Thanks for the nice comment.

One Love,
Debbie

So true. A lot of people just think about taking step. I get caught doing it too.
Thanks so much for the truth, Debbie!
